Apologies for the quietness...

Hello dear Followers :) We are back!
Apologies for the quietness over the last few months, however, just because we were quiet, doesnt mean that there wasnt anything on the go.

Part - or rather mostly - of the reason for the quietness was due to my hockey being played, July and August are always very busy months when we are preparing for inter-provincials, and doesnt really leave time for much else. I was partaking in the tournament held at the Randburg Astro, but never fear, we still had our cameras out there in the sport department and Rob was doing his thing. :)

This is a prestigious event that is held on an annual basis, moving from one province to the next. We were very fortunate to have the tournament in Johannesburg this year, for a lot of support and for us to do some much needed shooting. We were crowned victorious at the end of the 7 days, beating Western Province 3-0. Thanks to Rob for being there on the side of the field for every game, and shooting these wonderful images. Huge thanks from a personal point of view must go to the ladies of DIMENSION SPORT for keeping me in one piece to make it through. Click here to find out more about Dimension Sport.

After this, life goes back to normal and we are able to dust off the new cameras acquired at the beginning of the year and start shooting again.
Up next is a family shoot that we had the privilege of shooting. The Van Zyl family are a very fun loving, out going and spunky family. All the ingredients that make up an exceptionally enjoyable shoot.
Heidi contacted us to do this family shoot for them as a gift for her husband Johan - he has been sitting with very old and dated photos of his family on his desk, and Heidi thought it would be the perfect birthday present.
So off we went one August afternoon and this but just the tip of what we captured... :)

From one beautiful shoot to another. With a long standing relationship between Gen Frank Photography and Caballero Riding School, we were invited to celebrate their 10 year anniversary with them, and what a special occasion it was. Although we were guests at this function and had a lovely time spending the morning with these exceptional owners, landlords, teachers, students and parents, we could not help but capture such a wonderful milestone and achievement.
Thank you for inviting us to share this beautiful day with you all. :) Congratulations and here's to many more years!

After this, we made our way to the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens for a birthday party - Pirates and Fairies only. This was the 2nd birthday of little Caylee-Shae. We had the pleasure of doing a shoot with her when she was just a few weeks old, and look how much she has grown!
What a gorgeous little fairy she is!

Glad to have caught up with you all on what we have been up to over the last few months, and we are just about to get busier as we head into the summer months!
Dont forget to book us should you want a photoshoot, or email us at genfrank@gmail.com for more information.
